Linda was born August 17, 1951 in Heidelberg, Mississippi, home of the state Magnolia Flower.  Just as the Magnolia flower blooms with large petals and large aromatic fragrance, Linda also bloomed with a larger than life personality.

Her budding life would cradle you with tears of endless laughter because she always teased anyone who would provide an attentive ear.  No one was immune from her comical satire-not even family.  She would engulf you with unselfish generosity and helping hands.  Yes, she beat to her own drum-she did everything her way.  This led some to believe she was always strong, yet underneath the tough seed, the sturdy bark, there was a delicate flower.   She was our Magnolia Flower.

Therefore, with deep sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of Linda, our loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt and friends to many.  She was educated at Oak Park High School in Laurel, MS.  She worked various jobs throughout her life.  She confessed Christ at an early age and later in life she rededicated herself to Christ.  Linda was a dedicated mother first and foremost.  She loved and treasured her three children and embraced every moment with them.  She had a gregarious personality and always made people around her laugh.  Even though she faced health condition of COPD and cancer, she still had a fighter's heart until sunset.  Like all flowers, even our Magnolia, had to blossom and fade back to her true existence.  She is a part of God's garden where flowers never die.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Rosie Lee McDonald, Sister Argie Benson, Brother Charles Henry McDonald and brother Archie McDonald.  She is survived by her eldest son, Reginald(Cammie) McDonald, of Fort Mitchell, GA; eldest daughter, Tracy Page of Charleston, SC; youngest daughter, Sonia(Charles) Harvey of Clarksdale, MS; one sister, Bernice McCullum of Laurel, and one brother, Willie McDonald of Boston, MA; two half brothers, Tommie McDonald of Joliet, IL and Dennis Jordan of Laurel; one half sister, Marie Naylor of Laurel, grandchildren, Michael, Winfrey, Sherrod, Selena and Skytashia; one great grandbaby ( Legend Harvey) and a a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
