Her journey began on January 11, 1960 in Shelby, MS to the late Gladys Mae Horsley and Willie Hamilton. Linda Jay passed on October 20, 2021, at her home in Rosedale, MS.

She preceded in death by her son, Travis Horsley, her sister Carolyn Horsley, two grandchildren, ShaKundra Horsley and Travis Reddix, Jr.

She confessed hope in Christ at The Church of God in Christ in Rosedale, MS, under the leadership of General Burton.

She leaves to cherish her memories: seven (7) beautiful daughters, Tenesha ( James) Horsley, Yashonda (Simon) Bush, Benita (Eddie) Dade and Marquitta Horsley, all of Rosedale, MS, Erica Horsley of Milwaukee, WI, Latonya (Fernando) Green, Renova, MS, Keisha (Santarious) Curb of Pascagoula, MS; (1) son, Keith Horsley of Meridian, MS, (4) sisters: Kaffie (Elie) Butler of Cleveland, MS, Mary Lee ( Aaron) Britton of Grand Rapids, MI, Shirley Alexander of Shelby, MS and Virginia (Larry) Newell of McClain, MS; (1) brother, L.B. King of Rosedale, MS, a special uncle, McKinnley Horsley of Rosedale, MS, 19 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
