Lewis Dwayne Scott was born May 28, 1962, in Cleveland, MS to Eddie and Odessa Burnette. Lewis accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mount Pilgrim Church in Cleveland, MS. He later joined Phillips Chapel Church under the leadership of Pastor Marvin Strotter, Sr. Lewis departed this life on August 29, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Lewis attended Bell Elementary School, Margaret Green Jr. High School, East Side High School where he graduated from Class of 1980. Lewis decided to further his education at Mississippi Delta Community College majoring in Business. Lewis joined the workforce doing various jobs. He was employed with Pafford Ambulance Services for 40 years until his health began to fail him.

Lewis met the love of his life, Rosetta Todd, and was married on November 28, 2004. Lewis enjoyed cooking, doing yard work and psending time with his granddaughters: Denver and WeeWee. He enjoyed watching Tv, talking, and telling jokes.

HE leaves to treasure his memories his devoted wife Rosetta Scott; his parents: Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Burnette; his daughters: Selby Todd of Memphis, TN, Madison Todd of Cleveland, MS and Shameka (Wilson) Clark of TX; his sons: Kolby Scott and Yuri Todd of Cleveland, MS, Pierre Alexander of Jackson, MS, Kendrick Wade of Atlanta, GA, and Ricardo (Tamar) Wade of TX; a sister: Hope ( Andrew) Hill of Houston, TX; a brother: John (Sandra) Scott of Hayward, CA; 10 grandchildren, in-laws: Tommie Todd and Theodore Story, a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends.
