Leroy Woodard, a native of Ruleville, MS, lived his last days in Cleveland, MS at Delta Rehabilitation and Health Care Nursing Facility. He was born on March 27, 1947, to the late Mr. Curtis and Laura Woodard.

On the morning of February 25, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. the soul of the departed was drown out to its new life. His memories will remain in our hearts forever. Proceeding him in death was a son, Leroy Woodard, Jr., Siblings that proceeded him in death: brothers, Curtis Woodard, Earnest Woodard, Nathaniel Woodard, Jim Woodard, and David Woodard. Sisters: Willie Mae Brock and Herdestine Rogers.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his daughters: Antoinette Woodard and Quazina Stratford, Miami Fl; son: Tavares Stratford, Sr.; brothers, Johnny Woodard (Debora), Robert Woodard, both of Miami, FL., and Freddy Stone (Lula), Ruleville, MS; sisters: Diane Woodard, Ruleville, MS, Hattie Dennis, Memphis, TN, Shirley Woodard, Miami, FL, and Dorothy Powell, Memphis, TN.

He leaves 12 grandchildren: Tavares Stratford, Jr., David Ponder, Marcis Ponder, Sean Ponder, Jemel Matheis, Iziah James, and Dontea Stratford all from Miami, FL. 10 great grandchildren: Journee Ponders, Kamazi Ponder, Miami, FL and a host of nieces and nephews.
