Leroy Dumas Jr departed this life on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at his place of resident.
Leroy Dumas was born on November 27, 1948, to the late Leroy Dumas and Rebecca Anderson in Springtown, MS.
Leroy became a farmer at a very young age. He began his farming on Maxine Plantation were he moved to Delta Pine Land in Scott, MS. Later on he farmed on Dahomey Plantation until he retired and moved to Cleveland, MS until his passing.
Leroy was a hardworking man and loved to fish, watch wrestling and western movies. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Rosie M. Thomas, stepson Leroy Thomas, Jr., 3 brothers Willie, James, and Jimmie Anderson and sister Lula Mae Dumas.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: one son, Steven Thomas (Lisa), one daughter Bobby Ann Veazy and step daughter Vera Renee Thomas all of Cleveland, MS. Two sisters: Delores Dunston and Sarah (James) Curtis both of Greenville, MS. Thirteen grandchildren, 7 great grands, and 2 great great grandchildren. A very close loving friend, Quincy B. Thomas. Along with a numerous of nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins.
May we reflect upon our loving memories of Leroy Dumas, Jr, as a father, brother, uncle, cousin, and dear friend? He will be missed tremendously.
