Obituary

Leo Norman was born March 5, 1950 to the late David Norman and Annie Bell Little Norman of Cleveland, MS.  Leo was the sixth child born to this union and brought to the family his special smile, quiet spirit, generous heart, and strong will.

During his lifetime, Leo traveled to and lived in various places.  He spent some time with his aunt (Mable) in Detroit, Michigan; with his father (David) in Chicago, IL; and his brother (Jim) in Rochester, NY.  In 1984, Leo returned to Cleveland, MS; where he remained until his passing.

Leo was known to be a very hard worker.  His favorite type of work was outside jobs such as farm work and gardening.  While doing his paid jobs and volunteer work, he touched the lives of many people, and they were all the better for it.  Thus, he was able to make a living, care for others, as well as keep himself very busy.

Leo, like many people, had his own philosophy of life.  He may not been a Bible scholar, but somehow these words from Matthew 6:34 guided his pathway:  "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own."

On Friday, April 15, 2016, Leo Norman completed his journey on earth at Joy Health and Rehab Nursing Home.
