Lena C. Williams was born on May 10, 1932 to the late Richard Craig and Sally Miller Carter. She departed this life on December 16, 2019 now celebrating her new life with her husband, Roosevelt Lewis (Nate) and her three sons, James Williams (Peacher), Jeff Williams (Mike) and Earnest Williams (Uncle).
Lena C. Williams accepted Christ at an early age and later joined the Phillip Chapel MB Church under the leadership of Pastor Marvin Strotter, Sr. where she served on the Mother Board until her health failed. She loved her family dearly, raising 4 generations of children. Lena C. Williams had a heart that carried a smile. No matter where you saw her she had a smile that lit up the room.
She was married to Roosevelt (Nate). Through this union, ten children were born. She leaves to cherish her memories Mamie Stalling (Johnny) & Doris Williams both of Cleveland, MS, Jerry Williams (Duck) of Starkville, MS, Roosevelt Williams (Shinese) of Southaven, MS, Francis & John E. Williams both of Memphis, TN, Georgia Lewis of Indianapolis, IN and James Williams Jr. (Ashley) of Chicago, IL, 40 grand children and a host of Great grandchildren & six great-great grandchildren. One sister, Aunt Red Craig of Memphis, TN & a host of nieces, nephews, cousins or relatives and friends.
