Leather Hawkins was born October 30, 1947 to the late Willie White and Minnie Nelson.  She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age.

She was affectionately known as "Tee".

On Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS, the Lord whispered Tee's name, wrapped her in his arms and took her home at the age of 75.

Tee was preceded in death by her parents, Willie White and Minnie Nelson, her husband, Henry Lee Hawkins; (2) sons, Eddie Charles and David Charles Hawkins; (4) sisters, Lizzie Wilson, Birdette Dixon, Margaret Giles and Mary Mason; (4) brothers, James Giles, Leroy Giles, Jesse Giles and Sylvester Giles, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a special love one, Johnny Peacock of Metcalfe; (3) daughters, Jeanie Hawkins, Grace Hawkins of Metcalfe, MS and Linda (Johnelle) Wade of Little Rock, Ark; (1) son, Donnell Hawkins of Metcalfe, MS; (2) stepdaughters, Jennifer Hawkins of Scottsdale, AZ and Maxine (Larry) Brooks of Winterville, MS; (3) stepsons, Charles Hawkins of East Islit, New York, Ervin (Pam) Sturdevant of Metcalfe, MS and Robert Earl Booker of Missouri; (2) brothers, Grandale Scott and Frank Giles of Pontiac, MI; (1) sister, Restella Ford of Greenville, MS; a special friend, Lisa (Cornell) Burchfield; (8) grandchildren, Latoya Hawkins, Jacob Hawkins, Justin Hawkins, Donnell Hawkins, Jr., Alicia Hawkins, Dontayshia Hawkins, Lennon Hawkins & Dana Hawkins; (3) Great grandchildren, Justin Hawkins, Jr., Lennon Hawkins, Jr., Malika Hawkins and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
