LaVern "LA" Holloway, age 60, passed away on August 9, 2019 in Ridgeland, MS.  LA was born in Mound Bayou, MS, the 10th of 12 children to Eugene and Willie Lou B. Holloway.  LA confessed her life to Christ at an early age at Mt. Moriah MB Church in Winstonville, MS.  She attended Jackson State University and returned to Mound Bayou, MS for a short period of time before deciding to go back to Jackson, MS and finally making Pearl, MS her home.  LA was a very compassionate and caring person.

LA worked in the food industry for over 40 years until recently when she was forced to take a leave of absence due to her health.

LA is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew L. Frank, Sr; and 3-siblings, Helen Jean, Earl and Mary Lee.  She leaves to celebrate her life a daughter Kanika Holloway and her children, Dezmond Washington, Kamorie Beverly and Jamarcus Jones of Jackson, MS; a son, Andrew L. Frank,Jr. of Jackson, TN and Goddaughter, Sheree Davis and her children Joshua and Zipporah Harris of Pearl, MS.  Along with her brothers, Eugene Holloway(Winchester, VA), Willie B. Holloway (Toledo, OH) and her sisters, Delois Holloway (Los Angeles, CA), Arie Holloway-Green (Moreno Valley, CA), Florence Jewell (Rockville, MD), Rosetta Holloway-Bell (Chicago, IL), Dian(Melvin) Coleman (Bartlett, TN) and Dr. Linda J.M. Holloway (Montgomery, AL) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and Applebee's, Burger King and Sonic's Family.
