Laronda's story started on June 18, 1979, she was the oldest daughter born to Debbie Cooks(Glover) and Matthew Clifton Sr.  Laronda graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1997.  She later returned to Chicago Heights, Illinois where she worked as an Admission Clerk at St. James Hospital for many years while obtaining her Cosmetology License.  She returned to Mound Bayou in 2013, where she continued to work as an Admission Clerk at Bolivar Medical Center and later at CPS pain clinic as a Medical Assistant.

She attended Partners in Prayer of Everlasting Ministries' under the leadership of Pastor Vivian L. Johnson.

Laronda entered Heaven's gates on November 9, 2018.  She will be remembered as a wonderful woman, an amazing mom, daughter, and sister who is loved, missed, and will always be cherished.  Whenever she smiles she lights up the room, so loving and caring.
