Jumond Griffin was born on August 14, 1975 to Ida Mae & Willie Lee Griffin in Shelby, MS.  He departed this life on August 12, 2021.

Jumond was preceded in death by his parents Ida Mae & Willie Griffin and 1 nephew.

He went down in Jesus Name at an early age under the leadership of Elder Joseph Liner.  He also played the guitar at Changing Your World Ministries in Rosedale, MS.

Jumond graduated from Rosedale High School in May of 1995, where he was "Mr. Iron Man of the Year".  He played on the State Championship Team "The Rosedale Eagles" during his high school years.  He attended MDCC and The Montgomery Alabama Police Academy where he ranked 3rd in his class.  He served on the Rosedale Police Dept., Linden Alabama Police Dept.  He also drove trucks for many years.  He was forced into early retirement when his health failed.  He moved to Oklahoma in 2016 where he remained until his death.

Jumond leaves to cherish his memories, (4) children, Chloe Williams, of Rosedale, MS, Jayla Griffin, Jason Griffin, and Marion Griffin all of Bellamy, AL; (2) sisters, Shannre (Clifford) McKellop and Shalondra "Loni-cat" Dudley, both of Rosedale, MS: (1) brother, Dumond (Makeba) Griffin of Oklahoma City, OK; (2) God sisters, Vantassal (Chris) Hall of Cleveland, MS and Lakenya Faust of Rosedale, MS,; A special friend, Arnice Upchurch, of Oklahoma City, OK, 4 nephews, 2 nieces, 4 great nephews, 3 great nieces, (2) special friends, Stevie Foster and Barney Lee Flore, the praying saints of God, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
