Jimmy Acoff was born June 8, 1957 in Cleveland, MS. He was the fourth child born to the late Eugene & Juanita Acoff, Jr.

He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He graduated from Cleveland High School and worked at Delta State laundry service.

Elnora Wells- Williams bore his first son, named Jimmy named for him. He later married Kathy Bradley, who bored him a son named Jamie, who gave him two grandsons. I'Dason Jamon Acoff Johnson and Braylon Carter Whitting. He loved hunting but he had a passion for fishing which he enjoyed all his life; until he was called home.

On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at the age of 64, Jimmy Acoff took his heavenly flight to meet his creator, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents: Eugene & Juanita Acoff, Jr,. his oldest brother: Elawrence Acoff and his middle sister, Shirley Jean Acoff.

He leaves to cherish and celebrate his life a loving family; two loving sons: Jimmy Acoff of Pace, MS, Jamie Acoff of Cleveland, MS; two sisters: Diane ( Rev. Jimmy) Story of Bellwood, IL; Gloria (Gerald) Welsey of Renova, MS; Five brothers; Eugene (Paulene) Acoff III of Horn Lake, MS, Sidney Acoff and Ricky Acoff both of Memphis, TN; Alvin Acoff and Lonzo Acoff both of Cleveland, MS; two grandchildren: I'Dason Jamon Acoff Johnson and Braylon Carter Whitting,a host of neieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
