Jimmie Farmer, Jr. was born in Cleveland, Mississippi on December 23,1946, to Beulah and James Farmer.

At an early age, he accepted Christ at Old Saint Phillip Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend L.R. Skipper, where he remained faithful until his death. Jimmie received his education in the Cleveland School District, where he attended H.M. Nailor Elementary School and Eastside High School. A strong desire to earn a good living led Jimmie to pursue a variety if jobs in the city of Cleveland. In 2009, he retired from Baxter Healthcare.

Jimmie's twin brother, James Farmer, died as an infant. Shortly after his twin's death, his father transitioned, leaving him and his brother Tommy to be with their paternal grandmother, Alberta Todd- Watkins, and their great-aunt, Pearlie Todd- Lacey.

On September 3, 1965, Jimmie entered into holy matrimony with Emma Lee Burnes-Farmer. They married young at ages 17 and 18. To this union, three children were born: Christopher James Farmer, Janice Denise Farmer; preceded him in death, and Patrina Angela Farmer. Jimmie also helped raise his grandson Quonatavius Farmer, son of Janice Farmer. Jimmie and Emma Lee Farmer were married for 56 strong years. Emma Lee never left his side, and her love for him was undeniable true love.

Jimmie was well-known for his outgoing personality and humorous stories and jokes that kept all who knew and loved him laughing throughout the years. he loved to dance, cook, and have fun. No one he came in contact with was ever a stranger. There was never a dull weekend at his home. He loved playing music and cooking in his backyard, and he enjoyed everyone who came around him. Jimmie often said," Don't nothing come to a sleeper but a dream."

Jimmie leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Emma Lee Farmer, of Cleveland, MS, (1) daughter, Patrina Farmer-Wade (Phernando) of Lewisville, TX, (2) sons, Christopher James Farmer (Chestine) of Southaven, MS and Terrance Hollingsworth of Cleveland, MS and (1) brother Tommy Farmer of Cleveland, MS, (3) grandsons: Quantavius and Christopher Farmer of Memphis, TN and William Christon of Lewisville, TX, (6) granddaughters; Makala Lewis, Chestela, China, Chelsey, Chasity-Farmer all of Southaven, MS and Krashila Christon of Lewisville, TX and (9) great-grandchildren.

Jimmie transitioned this earthly place on November 22, 2-21, at home amongst family in Cleveland.
