Time to be Born: Melvin "Jerry" Robinson was born on November 1, 1948 to the late Lottie and Jerry Robinson, Sr. in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. Jerry "as he affectionately known" passed on peacefully to claim his rightfully place in God's Heavenly Kingdom on Saturday, December 28, 2013. Time to Build: Jerry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He later joined the Bright Star M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend J.B. Woods where he remained a faithful member until his death. Time to Plant: Jerry was the proud owner of Jerry's Country Club for approximately thirty(30)years. He was employed for Rayner's Farm in Merigold, Mississippi for approximately fifty(50) years. Jerry's passions were gardening, farming, sharing special and precious moments with his family and his close friends. He never met a person that he did not want to become a friend with. He loved people. Time to Mourn: Jerry was preceded in death by his son Christopher Garner, brothers, Sylvester Robinson, Howard Robinson, Jessie Lee Robinson, Augusta Robinson, sisters, Rosetta Craig and Dora Lee Bonner. Time to Harvest: Jerry also had a special group of friends he shared many hours with and considered to be his "special family."
