Jerome Joseph Thompson II was born on August 12, 1977 to the union of Evonne ( Talmadge) Davis and the late Jerome Joseph Thompson in Cleveland, MS. He spent the first 8 years of his life on the South side of Chicago where he attended Gresham Elementary School and upon moving to Cleveland, he attended Cypress Park Elementary, Eastwood Junior High, and graduating from Eastside High School in 1996.

He furthered his education at Coahoma Community College where he received an Associate Degree in History in 1998. Then he received his bachelor in History at Mississippi Valley State University in 2000.

He began his love for sports with the Cleveland Park Commission little league football team. He continued his love for sports playing football at Eastwood Jr. High where he dominated the sport at Eastside High becoming the first string quarterback wearing his favorite number "1" and going on to play at Coahoma Community College. HE played tennis at MSVU with a walk on scholarship.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Tonya Matthews Thompson, two sons: Jeremy Matthews, Jalontae Thompson, a daughter Jervita Thompson ,and a grandson Jaxton where they all resided in Southaven, MS.

His mother, Evonne ( Talmadge) Davis, two sisters, Yshelia (David) Perry, and Yolanda Renee Thompson, and one brother, Terrence Jackson.

His aunt who practically raised him, Gail Brooks, and two sister cousins, Kristina Brooks and Candance Brooks, and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and cousins.
