Obituary

Jeanette Ross was born on November 24, 1942 in Shaw, MS to the late Willie and Alice Gant Ross. She was the fourth child of five siblings. She accepted Christ at an early age and remained a dedicated member in God's body. Jeanette was a member of the Mt. Tabor M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend C. W. Ray until her departure. Over the years she served in the capacity of usher, choir member and service ministry. She had a vigor for life and could make you smile when you frowned and could make you laugh when you wanted to cry. She loved life and she had a deep love for all people regardless of what nationality they were. She believed in treating people the way she wanted to be treated. She loved the Lord and would always say "Aint God Good" "Thank God for Jesus." She believed that she was still on this earth for a purpose and she was determined to fulfill that purpose before she departed this life. You would hear her often say "Here today, gone today, life aint promised to no one." She met and married the love of her life Freddie Thomas, Sr in April of 1967. To this union, eight children were fostered.
