For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son to save it. On the 11th day of October, 1956, God gave J.D. to Moma just for a little while; to love him, to nurture him, to instruct him, to teach him about the Savior, to share him with his family and then release him into the world until the 28th day of August, 2014. J.D. grew with his siblings and family surrounded by love. He attended Bob Woods Elementary School and Rosedale High School. During his senior year, J.D. became anxious to join the military. He completed his high school equivalency requirements and joined the U.S. Military. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at New Bethel M.B. Church, Rev. T.B. Bronner, Pastor.
