Mr. J.C. Herbert was born March 10, 1939 in Gloster, Mississippi to the late Curtis Havard and Mamie Jackson. He confessed his belief in Christ at an early age. He later became a member of United Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. E.C. Smith, present pastor Sammie Rash. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Louise Spears in 1956. During thier marriage, they welcomed two children: James Curtis Jr. and Linda Gale Havard Kemp. J.C. worked at Color Tile, Inc. for 30 years. He was a loving and devoted parent, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed.
