Family and friends gathered to celebrate the life of Janice M. Redmond. She was born on March 15,1952 in Greenville, MS to Mrs. Erma and James Franklin. Janice accepted the invitation of immortality on November 1, 2020. Janice accepted Christ at an early age and was a very active member in her church home.
Janice was a very charismatic woman who was very outspoken, funny, and overwhelming loving. She was an authentic and a genuinely loving person who kept that huge smile on her face. Known for her countless hours of selfless services and volunteer work, Janice also loved to cook, and boy did he cook up some big good old southern meals for her family regularly. She was a loving mother, devoted sister, a caring aunt, who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by parents, Erma and James Franklin; her sisters, Etha (Edward) Nellum and Dorothy Franklin; brothers, Gerald Franklin and Willie Griffin.
Janice leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Alfred Redmond Sr., her siblings Pearline (George) Loro- Yonker, NY, Helene, Utica, NY Charles Franklin, Utica, NY, Barbara Coleman, Greenville, MS, Loyse Ledlow, Greenville, MS; her children, Robert Hurt, Jr (Boyle, MS), Cynitha Franklin (Smyrna, GA), Shuwanna ( Nick) Turner (Jackson,MS), Vadell Hurt (Jonesboro, GA), Alfred Redmond, Jr, (Greenville, MS), god daughter Liesha Coleman (Greenville,MS) and a host of nieces and nephews.
