Janet Rose Brown was born August 29, 1959 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie & Rosetta Brown in Hollandale, MS.  The eighth of nine children born into this union.  Janet grew up and attended schools in Greenville, MS.

She accepted Christ at Greater Springfield M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Eddie Williams, where she remained a member until moving to Southaven last year, along with her sister and caregiver, Sherry Peoples.

Janet, a beautiful person was known and acknowledged as the "Queen" by her family.  She loved traveling with her sisters, getting all the attention and was a big fan and collector of sparkling jewelry.  She didn't mind asking others, "where did you get that from?" when it came to jewerly because she would want to get one just like it.  She also love visits from her sibling, because they all knew not to come into her presence without a gift of some sort in their hands because she would definitely ask, "what did you bring me?" and from her big brother Calvin, he knew not to show up without her "QWENTY" dollars! ($20).

On February 9, 2023, she not only received her wings but also received the most precious jewelry and crown in which she rightfully inherited.  The "Queen", preceded in death by her parents, two brothers:  John Wallace & David L. Brown, one sister:  Edwina B. Dennis.  She leaves to cherish her memories: three sisters, Edie(Arlanch) Ash, Saundra Jackson and Sherry B. Peoples; two brothers, Calvin (Shirley) Brown and Michael (Shelia) Brown.  As well as a sister-n-law, Ella Brown along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
