Our beloved Ja'Darius De'Vontae Hardy was born in Greenville, MS on April 24, 1999. He was the fourth of five children born to Tarshamekia Hardy of Metcalfe, MS. He was affectionately called Vontae.

As a child, Vontae was quiet-spirited, often laughing and smiling, at any comment made to him. He continued his good nature and humble spirit into adulthood.

Before venturing into the world of work, Vontae attended O'Bannon School.

Vontae departed this life to be with the Heavenly Father on Friday, June 24, 2022, in Greenville, MS. There, he is reunited with his grandmother, Brenda L. Hardy.

Vontae leaves to mourn his loss and to cherish his memories: his mother; Tashamekia Hardy of Metcalfe, MS; his grandfather: Lonnie (Rochelle) Green of Metcalfe, MS; his great-grandmother: L.V. Smith of Metcalfe, MS; his great-grandfather: Frank Green of Metcalfe, MS; (2) brothers: Rashad Hardy of Memphis, TN and Raheem Hardy of Metcalfe, MS; (2) sisters: Tiara Hardy and Terrneshia Hardy of Metcalfe, MS; a special uncle: Aldric Hardy of Metcalfe, MS; a special friend: Zeto Thompson of Greenville, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
