Mr. Jackie Dean Womack, a native of Ruleville, MS, affectionately known as "Peter" was born July 26, 1952, to the late Hattie Lee McAllister and late Dan Jackson.

He attended East Side High School which he loved dearly. He was a faithful worker until he retired from Jimmy Sanders Seed Company of Cleveland, Mississippi for 30 years.

He confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He dedicated his life to Christ and became a member of William Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. JD Story.

Peter was a feisty, warm hearted, social butterfly who would not hesitate to give you his last. He was a spunky guy that loved to talk and laugh with anyone he met. On any given day you could catch him watching western movies (Shoot-em-up) or his favorite sports, NFL football, and Basketball. A hardworking and resourceful man, Jackie was skilled in many trades, including his own lawn service, and a master at barbecuing.

He was united in holy matrimony to Gladys for 50 years.

Preceded him in death was his mother and father, his Aunt Bee who raised him up to be the man that he was, his brothers: John Lee, Floyd, Vernell, Larry, Levi, and Dan Jr., his sister: Arneda McGee

On May 13, 2026, he was called home to be with the Lord.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Gladys Womack of 50 years; his sons; Jackie (Tomeka) Womack of Dallas, TX, Berkedus and Kedrick of Ruleville, MS; his daughter, Tracy Turner, and one granddaughter who he raised as his own, Kendra Womack of Ruleville, MS, his brother: Jessie (Kaye) Jackson of Memphis, TN, sisters: Lillie of Jackson, MS, Gladys and Joyce of Memphis, TN, Francis, Chi Anne, and Jacqueline of St. Louis, MO, 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He leaves a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special nephews that loved being in his presence; Uganda (Sert) and Ocevelt Powell. His memory will be held in the hearts of the many people that had been blessed to have known him.
