Mrs. Ina (Faye) Lance she was born on October 8, 1941 in Greenville, MS to the late Thomas Cal Taylor (TC) and Hazel Pauline Taylor.  She departed this life on January 28, 2022 after a short stay at Manor Care North Decatur, GA.  She came to know the Lord at an early age and enjoyed an active membership with Old Jerusalem into adulthood.  Maturing in her love for the Lord, she joined in step with the parishioners of First Baptist Church as they continue their travels to the Kingdom of the Lord.

She attended Mississippi Valley State College and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Social Work.  She stepped into her career as a Social Worker at Delta Health Center with zeal and committed to the work of supporting and servicing the Delta Community.

Ina Faye was an exuberant spirit with a laugh that could make everyone smile.  Her greetings brought an immediate smile to whomever was blessed to know her.  Ina Faye favorite Bible verse was:  Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God - Matthews 5:8 and favorite gospel song:  The Lord will make a way somehow - Hezekiah Walker

She had in her heart and soul, if there was music playing, she was dancing.  A Diva by blood (Hazel Lawrence led the Diva Coalition) she loved to look her best!  She loved her friends and cousins like sisters and kept them close to her heart.  Every summer you could find her enjoying the yearly Blues Festivals.  That smile, bubbly spirit and easy laughter was her signature.  If you knew her you loved her.  Moving to Atlanta meant she spread her love to the residents at the MLK Senior Village.  Her laugh was infectious and she easily enjoyed the new bonds created with these new friends.

She kept in close contact with high school friends as they reveled in the memories of being Colemanites! It was always important for her to maintain her relationships with her friends of more than sixty years from Coleman High School.

She leaves to cherish precious memories; her two daughters, Ines Lawrence, Carmen Reese (Michael); one grandson, Cody Williams.  She will be dearly missed by her sister/friends; Doretha Williams and Ruth Mayfield.  Her first cousins, who were like sisters, Carolyn "Tris Ann" Taylor and Sandra Taylor.  Her love for her siblings will continue in the memories of her brothers; Reginald Barnes of Virginia Beach, VA. and Vincent Jordan of Memphis, TN.
