Imogene Matthews-Bracey, a long-time resident of Bolivar County.  Imogene made her sudden and final transition from earth to glory on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Oxford, MS.

Born February 14, 1954 to Rosetta Matthews-Thomas and Dan Thomas in Issaquena-Sharkey County, Rolling Fork, MS.  She was the only child born to this union.  Imogene was affectionately known as "Jean".  Imogene attended school in the Issaquena-Sharkey School System.  She became a Christian at an early age.

Imogene loved entertainment, good food, movies, traveling, shopping, and socializing with family and friends.  Her personality was distinct and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
