Helen Renee Miller was born on September 28, 1970 in Scott, MS to the late Fred Si Whitt and Deliah Miller. She went to be in the presence of the Lord on August 4, 2019 at the age of 48.
During her wonderful life journey, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age at Mt. Olive MB Church under the leadership of the late Rev. R.L. Chandler. Later in life, she united with Valley Grove Church of Christ in Southaven, MS under the leadership of Pastor James Brown.
Helen received her formal education at Norma C. O'Bannon Elementary School and was a graduate of Greenville High School. She continued her education at Mississippi Valley State University where she received a degree in biology. In June 13, 2015, she obtained her certification as a nurse's aide. Helen taught school for many years in the Shelby County School District.
She is preceded in death by three brothers: Si Whitt, Jake Miller and Alonzo Whitt; and two sisters: Mary Elijah and Josephine Williams.
Helen leaves to cherish her loving memories, two daughters: Macaliah Boyce(Pahz) and Maya Benson both of Memphis, TN; two beautiful grandchildren; Serenity and Hayden Boyce; one beloved sister: Arville Miller of Greenville, MS; one godsister: Mozena Smith of Metcalfe, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
