Gloria Jean Rash was born in Sunflower County, Mississippi, on April 4, 1952 to Ethel Lee Cooper and the late Frank Cooper.  She departed this life on September 13, 2017 in Germantown, TN.

She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Stranger's Home Missionary Baptist Church in Shaw, Mississippi.  Later, she united with the Greater New Kingdom Missionary Baptist Church family.

Gloria graduated from Ruleville High School in 1970 and worked at Bolivar Health & Rehabilitation for 35 years until her retirement.  She was united in holy matrimony to Earnest Rash, Jr. on April 28, 1974.  To this union, four children was born.
