Mound Bayou
Gerry Tyrone Robinson was born on October 25, 1972 to the late O.C. Robinson and Ethel L. Robinson in Mound Bayou, MS. He was the eleventh of twelve children.
Gerry accepted Christ at an early age. His favorite saying was "One God!!" He attended I.T. Montgomery Elementary School and John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in Mound Bayou, MS, where he graduated with the class of 1991.
Everyone that came in contact with Gerry knew his passion for assisting with fighting crime and his aspiration to become a Deputy Sheriff. On April 16, 2019, Sheriff Kelvin Williams, Sr. bestowed upon him the honor of becoming an honorary Deputy Sheriff.
Gerry made his transition on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Delta Rehabilitation Center in Cleveland, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, O.C. Robinson, and brother, Lacy M. Robinson, Sr.
Gerry leaves to cherish his precious memories; his beloved mother, Ethel L. Robinson of Mound Bayou, MS; brothers, Oliver C. Robinson, II of Leesburg, VA, Lorenzo(Emma) Robinson of Cleveland, MS, Marvin(Veeta) Robinson, and Tommie(Judy) Robinson, both of Mound Bayou, MS; sisters, Jannie(Joseph) Powell of Jackson, MS, Ocie(James) Humphrey of Shelby, MS, Sherry A. Robinson of Jackson, MS, Beverly(Tony) King of Flint, MI, Trena L. Robinson of Mound Bayou, MS, and Angela(Lamar) Griffin of Madison, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
