Obituary

Gerick Tyrel Jarmon was born on January 16, 1980 in Mound Bayou, Mississippi to his parents:  the late Gloria Jarmon-Aaron and Kenneth King, Sr.  Gerick's mother soon met and married Kenneth Aaron Sr. who raised him from two months old throughout his live even after his mother's death in 1994.  Gerick dedicated his life to Christ at an early age at Walnut Grove M.B. Church and later joined Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Gerick received his education at Riverside High School and graduated in 1999.  After high school, he worked with and for his father Kenneth Aaron Sr. at Kenneth's Excavation Dirt & Gravel Inc. for uncountable years.  He later in life decided to travel the world as an over-the-road driver.  After a few years over-the- road for various trucking  companies, Gerick returned home and continued his love for driving for his father until his health began to decline.

Gerick was one in a million.  He found joy in the simple things: family gatherings (especially to play cards & dominoes), good conversations, laughter & lending a hand whenever he could.  He was a man who didn't need the spotlight to shine..... his personality spoke for itself.  Though his time here feels far too short, we'll forever cherish every moment we spent with him.  He will be remembered for his love of family.  Having Gerick around was everything & it seems he never met a stranger and was loved by many.  He was free spirited and loved life.  He always had a question for you and could make you laugh at the drop of a dime.

On December 4, 2025 Gerick transitioned from this life at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.  Preceding him in death was his mother:  Gloria Jarmon-Aaron; his first stepmother: Mashelia Aaron; his grandmothers:  Minnie Jarmon, Ida Aaron & Jessie King; his grandfathers: George Jarmon, James  Aaron & Harding King; his brothers:  Kervin King & Kelly King and his sister:  Kensley Aaron.

Gerick leaves to cherish his memories, his fathers:  Kenneth (Deedra) Aaron Sr. & Kenneth (Terry) King Sr.; his sisters:  Lashawndra Aaron, Kendrika (Trayaun) Birgan, Kenzie Aaron, DeShundra McClinton; Kendra King, Tiara King & Amy Courtney; his brothers:  Kenneth (Latasha) Aaron, Jr., Kentarius Johnson, Kenneth Aaron II, Kenneth (Brittney) King, Kirk King, Johnathan Wright, Kendrick King, Kristian King & Joaquin (Joey) Courtney; a special niece & nephews:  Gloria Rogers, Jontavius Aaron & Kenneth Aaron III and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
