Gail Delores Williams was born on June 13, 1946 in Ruleville, Mississippi to the late James and Effie Lee Waldington.

Gail graduated from Ruleville Central High School in 1965.  She married Robert Carter and relocated to Dayton, Ohio.  She served as a Dietitian until her retirement at Miami Valley Hospital.

She departed this life on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville, Mississippi.  She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Effie Lee Waldington, four brothers; William Earl Fields, Walter "Head" Wadlington, James "Bud" Wadlington and Larry "Toad" Waldington and one sister, Melva Jean White.

She will always be remembered, not in sorrow of her death, but in joy, and in love for her nurturing spirit.  She leaves to cherish and celebrate her love and legacy four sisters; Dorothy Kent of Ruleville, MS, Willie (Timothy) Bradley of Sumter, SC, Katherine (Jerry) Barber of Drew, MS and Velma Williams of Greenville, MS; four brothers, Jerome Turner and Jerry Walls of Ruleville, MS, James (Mary) Johnson Waldington of Cleveland, MS, and Timothy McCain of Jackson, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
