Obituary

Freddie Smith born June 25, 1947 in Greenville, MS to the late Ben and Ledora James Smith.  He was the third of twelve children.

Retired from Uncle Bens Food after 28 years, he served in the United States Air Force and Army Reserves.  His service inspired his son and grand-daughter to follow in his footsteps of the armed forces of Navy and Air Force.

He confessed Christ at an early age, under the leadership of Pastor Clarence Johnson.  He joined Shady Grove M.B. Church currently under the leadership of Pastor Charles Stewart.

Early Monday morning, on March 13, 2023 at 12:30 a.m., the Lord called one of his children home.  He was preceded in death by his parents; Ben and Ledora James Smith, brothers; Willie James, Charles E. Smith, Sr. and Bennie Smith, sisters; Rosie Hamilton and Pinkye Smith.

He leaves his precious memories to his beloved wife of 52 years, Bonnie Smith; one son, Terrence (LaSheen) Smith, Sr.; three grandchildren, Nickolus Smith, Terrence Smith, Jr and Kaisha Smith; two great grandchildren, A'Miyah Cosby and A'Niyah Smith; two brothers, Jimmie (Mary) Smith and Charles James; three sisters, Katherine (John) Williams, Doris (Ray) Miller and Debra Corbitt, caregiver, Norris Smith and a host of family and friends.
