Obituary

Frank Lorimer Toliver was the 5th child of 14 children born to Robert James Toliver and Celia Mae Beasley Toliver on September 6, 1949.  He accepted the Lord as his savior while in youth at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Renova and remained there until his demise.

He had a passion for outdoor activities.  Frank was actively involved in the American Legend Post #220 in Mound Bayou, MS prior to the decline of his health.

Frank attended John F. Kennedy Memorial High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1968.  He continued his education at Coahoma Community College where he received an associate of art degree in Mathematics with a minor in Physical Education.  In 1970, he attended Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, TX and Delta State University in 1971.  In 1975, Frank enlisted in the United States Navy as a member of the USS Holland AS-32 as a Hull Technician.

Frank worked various jobs in Mississippi, California, and Illinois.  Upon his return to Mississippi in the 1990's, Frank worked as a Documentation Clerk at Baxter Healthcare in Cleveland, MS from 1990-2004 and as a police officer in the cities of Mound Bayou, MS and Shelby, MS from 1993 to 2001.  He was later employed by Faurecia Automotive and MS Dept. of Corrections Parchman, MS until his retirement in 2013.

On Sunday, December 2, 2018, Frank peacefully departed this life at Mississippi Veterans Home of Oxford in Oxford, MS.
