Fabian Dorsey, age 66 of Greenville, Mississippi, peacefully transitioned from this life on January 2, 2026.  He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter and cherished memories that forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Fabian was born to the late John D. Patterson and Elizabeth Dorsey.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Nettie White, Leola Ambrew, Mary Dorsey Hall and Phillip Dorsey.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughters, Marquitta James and La'Quessia Dorsey; his grandsons, Anthony Tre'Vion Adams and Amarien Maquis Carmichael; and his precious great-grandchildren, Ava Adams, Amiri Adams, Alani Adams, Ace Adams and Sariyah Carmichael.

Fabian is also survived by his siblings, Stanley (Magaret) Dorsey, Jimmy Moore, Diane Hall and Catherine Patterson Sykes; his special cousin, Clemora "Honey" Ware; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and beloved friends.

Known as a true dancing machine and the life of the party, Fabian brought joy wherever he went.  His infectious laughter, joyful spirit and natural ability to bring people together will forever be remembered.  Wherever music played, Fabian's presence was felt and his memory will continue to dance on in the lives he touched.

The family extends special acknowledgements of friendship to Greg Gordon, Randy Minix, Latasha Pruitt, Larry Bynum, Jeff Jackson and Derrick Jones.  A heartfelt thank you is also extended to Dr. Suares and the compassionate medical staff of Delta Health Center for their exceptional care and support.
