Ezell "Clyde" Self was born September 8, 1955 to the late Mr. Arthur and Mrs. Eliza Mae Askew Self in Dockery, MS.

He accepted Christ at an early age and he was baptized under the leadership of Reverend DT Irving and Reverend BJ Gause of St. John Missionary Baptist Church of Dockery, MS.

Clyde attended Ruleville Public Schools in Ruleville, MS. Clyde retired from Baxter Healthcare Company in Cleveland, MS.

Clyde completed his earthly mission and answered God's call to Glory on June 11, 2021.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his loving and devoted wife, Zina Ward Self of Mound Bayou, MS; two stepson, Lester Griffin and Alphonso Ward; and ten siblings: Laura Williams, Dessa Watkins, Freeman Self all of Detroit, MI, Izell Jackson of Cleveland, MS, LA Self, Elmora Self, and Earnest Self of Chicago, IL, Oasker (Barbara) Self and Otis (Linda) Self of Roseville, MN, and Mark Self of Freeport, IL, and three uncles, five aunts, and a host of nephews, nieces, in-laws, cousins, and friends.
