Eva Johnson was born November 1, 1929 in Waxhaw, MS to the late Elijah & Mattie Clay.

At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and later joined New St. Phillip Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.D. Story, present pastor, Rev. Larry King, where she was a faithful member until her health declined.

In 1953 she married the late Tommie Johnson, Sr. and to this union six children were born.

Mrs. Johnson worked two job tirelessly until retirement with Cleveland School District and Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, MS.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, very dedicated to her family and endeared herself to many.
