Elver Banks was born on February 16, 1938 in Beulah, Mississippi to the late Henry(Pug) and Patsy Robinson. To this union five children were born. Elver(Bea/L.V.) was the youngest.
Elver attended school in Beulah, Mississippi. In 1956, she married Thomas Banks, Jr. who preceded her in death. She traveled with her husband as he served in the United States Air Force. To this union six children were born. One son, Aaron Banks, preceded her in death.
In 1976, Elver relocated to Chicago, Illinois. She was a caregiver to many and was a kind, loving, and generous person. She was willing to help in any way she could. If you asked her opinion, that was exactly what you got. She wouldn't sugar coat it at all!! Elver truly loved her family.
In 2004, she felt the need and desire to be closer to God and therefore united with the Original Rising Star M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Virgil Brackett, where she served as an Usher until she relocated to Tacoma, Washington, in 2010, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. In 2012 her health began to fail.
Elver recognized her desire to seek a better home and departed this life on October 23, 2016 at approximately 8:30 a.m. She has left an empty space in the hearts of many, but everlasting memories by those who loved and knew her.
