GREENVILLE
Elizabeth White was born on December 6, 1940 in Greenville, MS. She was the first born of (4) children to Mattie Mae Powell and Willie Lee Porter Sr. Elizabeth confessed her life to Christ at a very young age at New White Stone.
Elizabeth was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to cook and share her food with everybody. She loved giving (the memories will forever be in our hearts) and most of all, she loved the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Oscar White; her mother, Mattie Mae Powell; her father, Willie Lee Porter, Sr.; one son, Phil Norman; four daughters, Patricia Norman, Mattie Norman, Judy Norman and Jeanette "Lady J" Norman; three brothers, Willie Lee Porter, Jr., Robert Lee Porter and Louis Porter.
She leaves to cherish all of her memories; her three daughters, Barbara Thomas, Carolyn (Gerald) Brown of Greenville, MS and Latasha White of Houston, TX; one son, Remus White of Greenville, MS; three brothers, James Porter of St. Louis, MO, John Porter of Garret, IN and Larry Porter of Baton Rouge, LA; one sister, Clara Billings of Baton Rouge, LA; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
