Elaine McCain Evans, affectionately known as the Queen of TrackSide, was born on July 24, 1960, to Ruby Lewis and the late Bennie Rafliff, Sr. in Ruleville, MS.
Elaine graduated from Ruleville Central High School in 1979. After graduation, she was employed by Ruleville Manufacturing Plant and later retired from the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
At an early age, Elaine accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a member of the historic William Chapel M.B. Church, which was under the leadership of the late Rev. Otis Keaton in Ruleville, MS, where she served faithfully until her passing.
Over 40 years ago, Elaine met J.C. (Touché) Evans, the love of her life, and together they had three children: Dujuan McCain, Sr., Taneka McCain, and Lamarcus McCain, Sr. J.C. and Elaine were united in holy matrimony on July 20, 2000.
Elaine was proceeded in death by her father: Bennie Ratliff, Sr., siblings: Tonya Boone, Bennie Robinson, Frankie Ratliff, Rosie Stidum, and Bennie Ratliff, Jr., and a favorite nephew Kentrell "Tator" Rogers.
Elaine entered eternal rest on November 28, 2021, at Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville, MS. To cherish her beautiful memory, she leaves her husband: J. C. Evans of Ruleville, MS; four sons: DeJuan (Anecia) McCain, Lamarcus (Tammy) McCain, Darius Weeks, and Rodney McClendon, all of Ruleville, MS; one daughter: Taneka McCain of Memphis, TN; and nine grandchildren: Dujuan McCain, Jr., Tylan Ogburn, Lamarcus McCain, Jr., Naija Smiley, Elijah Jones, Kenya Ford, Dayceon McCain, London McCain, and Dajaveon McCain. She is also survived by her siblings: Joyce (Ricky) Scott, Roger Lewis, and Lamar MCain, all of Ruleville, MS; Alvin (Shawnee) Gary, Bennie (Dorothy) Gary, and Malcolm (Gwen) Gary, all of Olive Branch, MS; Perry (Shawn) Ratliff, Denise Ratliff, and William (Sara) Ratliff, all of Peoria, IL; Angelo Gary, Dollie Gary, Sharon Lynch, Avis Gary, and Arlicia (Kevin) Billups, all of Houston, TX; Tony (Deja) Boone of Columbus, MS; Jennifer Boone, Toris Boone, and Michael (Marquita) Boone, all of Memphis, TN. Finally, she leaves a very special sister Sarah McCain, several beloved stepchildren and godchildren, many dear friends, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, church family and TrackSide family.
