Earnest Barnell (Butch) Greene, was born on December 28, 1949 in Greenville, Mississippi, to the late Earnest B. Greene Sr. and Clora Greene Nero. On Friday, April 22, 2016, Earnest transitioned from labor to reward.
Earnest's primary and secondary education was in the Greenville Public School District in Greenville, Mississippi. He graduated Valedictorian of his - the Class of 1968. Earnest obeyed the gospel and was added to the Lord's Church, Church of Christ, where he served faithfully until his death.
During his life, he had a strong work ethic, never met a stranger, and people from all walks of life loved him. He worked as a landscaper at Fort Gordon in Georgia. He retired from Army Lodging, NAF at Forth Gordon.
