Our lives are but a journey filled with paths we each will take.  Earl made his transition from the earthly journey on July 10, 2016 at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville, MS.

Earl was born April 24, 1945 in Scott, MS to the parents of the late Jimmy and Martha Thunderbird.  He was the third sibling of six children.

Earl confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Springfield Baptist Church in Scott, MS.  After moving to Greenville, MS, he united with the New Hope First Baptist Church where he remained until his demise.  He served faithfully as a member of the Trustee Board, and the Financial Staff.  It was always noted that he was very cordial to everyone.  He received his formative educational training in elementary school and graduated from Nugent Center High School in 1964.  He attended Alcorn A and M College his freshman year.  Later, he attended and graduated from the Annie Thompkins Mortuary School in Chicago, IL.  Earl returned to Greenville and was employed by Watson Funeral Home for a period of time.  He moved to California for ten years, where he was employed with Pacific Smelting Col  He later returned to Greenville and resumed his employment with Watson Funeral Home.  He remained there until he began working for Redmond Funeral Home, from which he retired.  Earl also worked part time as a driver for Port City Adult Daycare until his passing.
