Dorris Evelyn Lott was born July 11, 1935 to Sylvester Dale Lott and Jewell Ruth Kirkland Lott. She married the late Sam J. Rogers on April 4, 1959 in Rosedale, MS. Dorris was a loving mother and friend. She loved to crochet and everyone around had something that she crocheted. When not teaching herself to crochet she loved reading paperback novels. Before her declining health she loved to cook. Dorris enjoyed visiting friends and spending time with her grandchildren.
