Mrs. Dorothy "Jean" Porter was the fourth child born to the late Mr. James Hudson and the late Essie B. Phillips on January 11, 1937. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and later moved her membership to New Salem M.B. Church. She was called to her eternal home on Saturday, July 27, 2013 in Merigold, MS. Heaven Bound I'm on a journey, Heaven bound You'll search for me, but I will not be found. Not on earth, where I used to be, God has called me home, my soul is free. Friends and family, left behind, I'll see you again, in just a matter of time. Down on earth, I maybe gone, God has called His servant home. My shell, it rests in endless sleep, While I sit in Heaven, at God's feet. Now, I'm in a better place, Because I'm blessed to see God's face. Heaven bound should be your goal, No matter if you're young or old. If you cry for me, they should be tears of joy, Because I will suffer no more. To all my love ones I leave behind, You've been great and very kind. As I'm placed down in the ground, Know in your hearts, I'm Heaven bound. To All My Children
