Dorothy Morris was born on October 7, 1936, in Kosciusko, MS. She was the fifth of eight children born to the late Leroy Sr. and Annie Tripplett. She departed this life on December 2, 2011 at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, MS, after an extended period of illness. She received Christ at an early age at the Peter's Rock Church on the Beulah/Pace Rd. She later joined the C.A. Burke M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Tom Meeks.
