Dorothy Ann McCollough was born on June 29, 1934 to Dorothy and Dennis McCollough Sr. in Glen Allan, MS.  She confessed Christ at an early age where she was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Louis B. Harris at Union Grove M.B. Church.  She worked diligently for the Lord as an usher until her health began to decline.  During the early years, she worked as a cook at Valewood Mississippi Headstart Program.

Dorothy departed this life on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Mississippi Care Center.  Her inspiring presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known her.  She was preceded in death by her father and mother; Dennis and Dorothy McCollough; two sons, Milton McCollough and Joseph Belton III; two brothers, Dennis McCollough Jr. and Judge Berry McCollough; one sister, Nancy Ruby-Scott; one grandchild, one great grandchild, along with one great-great grandchild.  For those who shared in her struggle until her demise, will always love her and we do believe that God has given us the knowledge and understanding that now.....it is well, with her soul!

Dorothy leaves to cherish her sweet memories (7) sons; Robert McCollough, Pastor Paul McCollough, Mitchell(Bieshia) McCollough and James Belton of Greenville, MS, Lewis(Erma) McCollough of  Southaven, MS, Larry McCollough of Lufkin, TX, Mitchell (Carolyn) Belton of Glen Allan, MS; (6) daughters, Shirley McCollough of Glen Allan, MS, Barbara Belton of Hollandale, MS, Linda Bailey of Tennessee, Diane McCollough-Murphy and Janet  Rivers of Texas, LaShaun McCollough of Greenville, MS; (3) sisters, Lucille Richardson of Glen Allan, MS, Emmaline McCollough and Estella Wilson of Arcola, MS; (1) brother, Isaac(Deloris) McCollough of Baton Rouge, LA; she raised several grandchildren as her own; Derrick(Crystal) Belton, Kevin (Aarian) McCollough, Roy Lee (Claudia) McCollough, Calvin (Savannah) Murphy, Kevin (Tiffany) Gailes, Latoyia Jackson all of Texas and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is also survived by devoted god-daughter and special friend, Rosie Mae Franklin-Bailey.
