Dorothy Jean Smith was born on June 8, 1949 to the late LV Ward and Mary Lou Townsend Taylor of Ruleville, MS.  Dorothy departed this life on February 25, 2017.  In the early 90's, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ.  She continued to serve and live a Christian life and adhered to the obedience and the will of God.  Dorothy was a true Woman of Faith.  She loved cooking, making flower arrangements, wreaths and fishing.  She was blessed with many gifts and talents, all of which she shared with neighbors, family and friends.  She was a member of St. John Christian Church of Drew, MS under the leadership of Rev. Johnny Collier.

Dorothy later married Larry Foster with that union they were blessed with seven children.  One in which preceded her in death.  Later Dorothy married the late Floyd Smith on May 5, 1993 and was widowed in 2007.
