Dorothy Mae Fulton was born December 5, 1954 in Cleveland, MS to the late Beatrice Kate Emerson and the late Giles Hutton, Sr. She accepted Christ early in life and joined St. Peter's Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland, MS.

Dorothy worked as a custodian at the Colonial Inn for 10 years or more; there she met people from all walks of life. Dorothy was loved and respected by the owners and the occupants due to the immaculate services she provided.

Dorothy was an extraordinary cook, to say " she knew her way around the kitchen" was an understatement. Dorothy was what you would call " an old school cook", she could throw down in the kitchen. Cooking and keeping an exquisitely clean home were two passions she loved. Dorothy was also passionate when it came to older people. She took time out to care for friends and loved ones that fell ill and stuck with them until they got better or met their demise. That was the kind of person she was.

Dorothy went into eternal peace on September 30, 2020. She is preceded in death by her mother Beatrice Emerson, father Giles Hutton, Sr., and sister Christine Sims.

Dorothy Fulton leaves to cherish her memories her children: Roderick Fulton, Sr of Indianola, MS and Sharon Fulton Bryant of Leland, MS; grandchildren: Lacorey Fulton, William Bryant, III, Roderick Fulton, Jr, Marquavious Robinson, Kaniquia Fulton, nd Malik Fulton, great-grandchild: Corderrior Nealson, siblings: Larry Fulton and Leona Fulton of Shaw, MS and Giles Hutton, Jr of Atlanta, Ga, and a special companion, Bennie Bowen of Miami, FL, 3 nieces and 4 nephews: Robert Fulton, Lakethia Fulton, Victoria Fulton, Mya Fulton, Joshua Fulton, Michael Fulton, and Ezekiel Fulton, 3 great nieces Sanilce Fulton and Alexandra Fulton.
