Obituary

Dora Mae Hampton-Keys was born February 8, 1947 in Drew, Mississippi to the union of the late Roy Chester and Dora Lee Hampton. She was the oldest of thirteen children: Seven sisters and Five brothers. Dora left Drew and moved to Chicago, Illinois at a young age and started her adult life there. She was united in marriage to the late Robert Keys and to the union was born her only child and daughter Lora Mae Keys of Memphis, TN. She worked as a United States Postal worker for many years. She dedicated herself to Christianity and joined church where she serve as a nurse in Chicago. Dora loved the outdoor life and traveling. No matter where you are going or what you were driving she was always ready to go. When she wasn't traveling you would always see her outside underneath the big tree across from her house. On Sunday mornings after she left church, you can see her sitting under those big trees laughing and joking around with family and friends. This was an everyday thing for her, until her health caused her to be shut in.
