Della Mae McKnight was born on August 19, 1971 to the late Stella Fluellen and Paul Spears, Sr. (Present).  She was the oldest of three children from her mother and four of her father.

Della accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.  She joined Renewed Hope in Christ under the leadership of Pastor B.W. Burnett, Jr. in Memphis, TN.

She graduated from East Side High School Class of 90.

She departed this life on May 4, 2019.  She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, friend and so much more.  Her smile, her strength, her love for her family and life will truly be missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her son, Christopher McKnight, her daughter, Keisha Ford, both of Memphis, TN., her little sister, Stephanie (Michael) Harris, Memphis, TN., brothers, Paul Spears, Jr., Tupelo, MS., and Marlon Carpenter, Ruleville, MS., seven aunts and three uncles; Martha McKnight, Memphis, TN., Angelina Cox and Susan McKnight, Cleveland, MS., Gloria McCain (Saddle) and Alex (Bobbie) McKnight, Jr. of Ruleville, MS., Abraham (Alora) McKnight of Renova, MS., Martha Williams, Rubye Nelson and Marcine Foster of Ruleville, MS.; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will sincerely, truly miss her.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Stella Fluellen; grandmother, Naomi P. McKnight and her sister, Gwendolyn McKnight.
