David Lee Smith, son of the late Willie and Janie Smith was born on April 30, 1960 in Shaw, MS. There he attended primary school. He accepted Christ at an early age at St. John Baptist Church. David as his family and friends knew him, lived in Indianapolis, IN for many years where he worked at the Laundry Department Wisher Hospital. David met Tammy and was blessed with two sons: David and Tai Smith. David moved back to Shaw, MS where he worked at Delta Pride Catfish Company. Later, he moved to Redwood/Vicksburg, MS where he worked at Saw Mills until he became ill. David departed this life on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the University Hospital in Jackson, MS.
