D'Adrian's story started November 27, 1997.  She was the daughter born to Laronda Lenise Clifton and Jermaine Slaughter.  D'Adrian graduated from John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in Mound Bayou.  She worked as an Admissions Clerk at the Bolivar County Medical Center for several years.  Later, her life took a turn, but she fulfilled a dream of following her in mother's footsteps by obtaining a cosmetology license.  She later worked at the Cleveland Crisis Center as an Active Treatment Tech until her untimely passing.

She joined the Greater Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Mound Bayou under the leadership of Rev. Horace L. McKay.

D'Adrian entered heaven's gates on December 24, 2024.  She will be remembered as a wonderful woman, an amazing, strong mother, and awesome sister, daughter, and granddaughter who is loved, missed and will always be cherished.

Loved ones that cleared the path for D'Adrian are her daughter, Faith Nicole Slaughter (2018), her mother, Laronda Lenise Clifton (2018) and her cousin, Xion Clifton (2023).

Love ones who will miss D'Adrian until they meet again are her father, Jermaine Slaughter (Greenbrae, CA); grandparents, Mattie Slaughter, (Robinsonville, MS), Edgar "Bobby" and Debbie Glover (Mound Bayou, MS); daughters, Serenity Slaughter and London Johnson, son, Jordan O'Bryant ( all of Mound Bayou, MS); siblings, Adarien Clifton ( Memphis, TN), Grace Clifton and Abigail Clifton ( Mound Bayou, MS), Elisabeth Clifton (Indiana) and Jamarius Slaughter, (Greenbrae, CA); aunts, Zeola Slaughter ( Oakland, CA) and Candi Clifton ( Mound Bayou, MS), an uncle, Matthew Clifton (Cordova, TN), a special aunt, Collins Williams ( Mound Bayou, MS) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
