Cornella "Gwen" Harris-Dixon was the daughter of the late Pallace and Mildred Harris born on June 6, 1954 in Greenville, Mississippi.  She departed this earthly life on August 11, 2026.  She was proceeded in death by one sister Martha Jones, two brothers, Earl Ellis and Pallace Harris, Jr.

She received Christ at an early age at Mt. Olivet M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. H.A. Armstrong.  She was a faithful member until her death under the leadership of Dr. Lee E. Morris Jr.  She was educated at Coleman High School.

Her life will always be remembered and cherished by son:  Gregory Harris; a very special nephew who she raised JaKyron Harris; (4) brothers, Charles Harris, Sr. of Detroit, Michigan, Sherman (Rosalyn) Harris, Willie (Carolyn) Harris, Sr., Byron (Latoya) Harris, Sr. all of Greenville, MS. (3) sisters; Diane Franklin, Shirley White of Greenville, MS and Delores (Bernard) Harris of Jackson, MS.  (5) Grandchildren; Marquesia Lockridge-Journey, Delilah Stewart, Ayommi Bowman, Gregory Harris, Jr., one great granddaughter, Jahzara Journey, a very special friend, Emma Causey and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
